Creep In the Night

Although a lot of my ideas turn up out of the blue, they’re usually only skeletons. I wish I could sit down with a pen and paper to flesh them out, but this only seems to happen when I’m laying in the dark, trying to sleep. It’s then that they’ll show up in technicolour - if I’m lucky. ”Creep In the Night” was like that, where it swam up panel by panel, word by word, until the end, and all I had to do is get out of bed and draw out a rough draft. Wish this happened more often, but it hardly ever does. I’ve gotten into my second paper, LIVE, based out of Palm Springs. An entertainment paper, and I think the strips showing up just periodically.

When I read some of your strips I sometimes think something like, “Really? Is that where we’re going?” And then what I thought was being said gets turned into something far more interesting and satisfying than I expected it to be. Brilliant!
One of my favs. Congrats on the book.
