Okay, I know this one’s pretty gross, even my doctor commented on it, and was hauled into my editor’s office and asked if I was going somewhere with the grotesqueries I’m putting poor Thomas through.  I am.                            This one in particular is a reaction to a website I came across when I was researching Thomas’ story line, a site for Bug Chasers and Gift Givers.  It was pretty strange, intense stuff.  We  eroticize everything from feet to bananas, but making a virus “hot” is going a bit far, in my opinion.  The people who live with HIV get on with their lives, but those seeking it out actively have got to be naive.  It is a bug, after all, and y’don’t see people seeking out lovers with syph or the drip…                  This is a community I don’t know much about, maybe someone could explain it better to me?
