Poetry Corner

Poetry Corner So, this was something completely different, but the nerves of doing poetry were vanquished by stumbling onto how to shade my cartoon.  I tried it on a limited scale in “Russian Roulette”, but went full-out on this, and was freakin’ stoked with the results on the screen.  I wasn’t sure how it would translate to the newsprint, but it looks solid there too.  Also, Ian is serving tea from my Grandma’s tea-pot.                                                                                       I really notice how it can add atmosphere to panels like the landscapes in Pete’s and Thomas’ , or add emotion to their faces.  Lookin’ forward to playing with it more.  The poems turned out alright, I think, it was a good transition for the next few strips, which Thomas’ antics is gonna turn serious, and I’m gonna take a crack at dramatic writing (in my own goofy way).                        Happy New Year.  Thanks for your feedback and comments.  The comic-strippers life is a lonely one, and knowing you folks check the strip out here is good to know.

    Hey Tyler,
Was just catching up on your work. It’s genious, crass, brilliant & bold and it’s YOU. Happy New Year, Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Other Holidays I missed in between.
