Another potentially good comic that was gimped up by my lack of experience. I’d love to re-do the second panel, which is messy and confusing. Basically, Henkl vaporizes all of the God Squad except for the Basher, who is saved by Thomas. This is the first strip where Henkl starts to separate himself as the self-righteous sociopath of the group, even if that coat I had him in made him look like a menopausal widow.This strip was a good example of what was hardest for me in the earlier days, lay-out and editing in a narrow space. It was so tough to cram in ALL the action and dialogue I wanted, that at one point, I even offered to buy space from X-TRA West just so it would be an inch taller.In the end, the limited space was a blessing in disguise, as it forced me to simplify and clarify my ideas and the style of my drawing, which was still emerging….
